Week Ahead In Discovery 0.5.05.261 May 2026 (by Sonia Coles (scoles)) |
This week, the children have worked incredibly hard in English, writing a recount of our visit to Nettlebed Estate. A huge thank you again to Jessie, Hollie, Rob and Stella for providing such a wonderful experience for the children.
Discovery class have also earned the class treat this week due to their excellent effort and hard work, well done, everybody!
Next week is a shorter week. The children will be writing a short narrative about a settlement, incorporating all of the SPaG knowledge they have developed so far.
In Maths, we have begun trialing the Oak Academy scheme, with a current focus on geometry.
Homework that was due to be printed could not be issued this week due to a fault with the school printer. This will now be sent home next week.
Class treat: Children may bring slippers and a soft toy to school all week, with non uniform day and a nice well earned treat for Friday.
Homework:
- No Maths homework this week (to follow next week)
- SPaG booklets: page 23
- Spellings
- Reading (this remains a priority)
Wishing you all a lovely long weekend.
