It’s been another busy and exciting week in school! The children have thoroughly enjoyed the World Book Day celebrations across the school and it has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm for reading and storytelling.
English:
The children have been encouraged to generate descriptive words using their five senses. This will help them write a short poem titled “I Am a Roman Soldier.” The writing task will continue over next week, so the children have plenty of time to develop and refine their ideas.
Maths: We will be continuing and completing our topic on Fractions A. After this, we will move on to our next topic, which focuses on Measuring Mass.
Roman Day: 11th March 26
Our exciting Roman Day will take place in school for the whole day and will be run by Those History People. I’m sure the children are in for a real treat and a wonderful hands-on learning experience. Information about names and costumes has already been sent out via email, and payments for the activity can be made through ParentPay.
African Dance Workshop: 13th March 26
Year 3's have been booked in for a fantastic African Dance Workshop. This promises to be a lively, energetic and enriching experience for all the children. Exploring movement and culture through dance. A special thank you to Henley Youth festival for giving us this opportunity.
