It has been fantastic to hear all the children read out their letters to a scientist working in Antarctica. They asked some very well thought-out questions, and I was extremely impressed.
Over the next two weeks, the children will be writing a biography on Sir Ernest Shackleton. This ties in beautifully with our reading text, part of our topic work, and our class name Discovery, which is named after the famous purpose-built ship that travelled to Antarctica. It would be helpful if children could gather a few key facts and quotes to support their biography writing.
Maths: We have completed Multiplication and Division Unit B. There will be an assessment, followed by our next unit on Measurement. Next Thursday is National Puzzle Day, and we will be devoting some time to solving maths puzzles and riddles.
I will email you all a multiplication guide shortly. Afternoon subjects will continue as normal.
