It has been a very busy week for everyone in school. We’ve been practising our play, completing reading assessments, and working hard to finish the curriculum set for Term 2.
Science:
We have begun our new topic on Darkness, Sunlight and Reflection. The children have enjoyed exploring how light works and have used a lux meter to measure brightness in different conditions — classroom lights on and off, total darkness using an opaque object, and natural daylight. We will continue with this unit over the coming days.
Maths:
We are approaching the end of our multiplication and division unit. There will be an assessment on this topic next week. Please continue to support your child in practising their times tables daily, as this really helps to secure and embed their understanding.
