End of Term 1 and Looking Ahead to Term 223 October 2026 (by Sarah Roberts (sroberts)) |
Term 1 - done
Well, we made it to he end of a very long term. It has been a fantastic start to the year - well done to all the children who made the first term such a success. They have worked hard, made good progress, shown resilience and determination, thoughtfulness and kindness. What more could I ask for? Now let's make sure we keep it up next term.
Great news to finish the term - we won the class house point treat! We'll talk about this when we return to school - I am sure the children won't let me forget!
Next Term
Our new History topic asks the question 'What was the impact of WW2 on the people of Britain?'. We are looking forward to our week 1 daytrip to STEAM: the Museum of the Great Western Railway. If you have not completed the form please do so as the kitchen need our numbers for packed lunch options. The trip is on Thursday 5th November. We plan to make an early get away at 8.45am – please make sure you get to school in plenty of time.
Payment for the trip can be made through ParentPay.

There will be a Y4 Girls’s tournament on Tuesday of the second week of term.
Half Term Homework
WW2 Research If you know anyone who was evacuated during WW2 or who remembers any wartime experiences, it would be wonderful to have some first-hand accounts. Do you have any elderly relatives or friends who you could interview? We'd love to hear about this period in the life of someone who actually lived through it.
