This Week

This week children have continued to look at maps and thinking about homes around the world. They have built homes from lego and different blocks, coloured pictures, described their own homes and noticed features on maps.

In maths we looked at the composition of number 3 and 4. Building our own collections and working out how they can be made.

We wrote some weekend news about what we did over our weekends and practised our new sounds.

Our focus this week will be on 'school'. We will do a tour of all areas of the school and see what we spot- we will think about who we were before school, as toddlers and babies. We will do some exploring of the outside environment at Nettlebed and do some outside drawing (fingers crossed for good weather!). 

In maths we will be moving on to subitising again and building our skills of 'seeing and knowing' groups of objects.

We will begin to touch on performance and acting, standing up in front of peers and building our confidence to talk in front of others too.

We also have buddy assembly on Friday for Hestia (Red) and Poseidon (Blue) team, please see my previous email if you are unsure which team your child is in.
