Next Week in Investigator Class

1 May 2026 (by Sarah Roberts (sroberts))

What better way to end the week than with the class treat? The children had definitely earned their treat afternoon and enjoyed den building in the classroom and playing games in the walled garden.

Topic Work and Desert Poetry

We’ve had a wonderful week of reading, writing and performing poetry. What a creative group of young minds we have in Investigator Class!

Next week’s learning objective in geography is to explain the way that people can use deserts. In English, we’ll be writing speeches and personifying the desert as it boasts about all the benefits it can provide to human beings.

D&T – Next week, we will be starting our new D&T project. We will be designing and making waistcoats. In order to this , we are asking children to bring in old shirts or possibly T-shirts that will be repurposed and transformed into a waistcoat.  If you have multiple old items, please send them. Next week we will introduce the concept and set up designing and shirts will not be needed until the following week.
