Term 5 Week 2 in Adventure Class27 April 2026 (by Elle Freeman (efreeman)) |
It was so lovely to see so many of you at the Stinger this weekend, and beautiful weather! A big well done to all who took part- especially the children who brought in their medals today!
Last Week 20/04/26
We had a busy week this week!
We made our own amazing boats out of junk and thought about what materials float. We enjoyed labelling the parts and designing our own. We also have seen so much growth of our plants in the gardening area, lots of shoots and some cress already fully grown!
Our collages are complete and looking beautiful!
Next Week 27/04/26
This week's sound is 'ow' as in 'brown cow'
Our Class reader is 'Not on the Beds'
In Maths we are looking at ordinality (the order of numbers) and understanding magnitude of numbers- that some are 'a lot bigger' and some 'a lot smaller', or; 'a little bit bigger'.
We will test our boats in the water area and do some evaluating, considering what we liked and what we could improve. Our vehicle theme continues and we will be reading 'The Hundred Decker Bus' and designing our own decks for the bus, and labelling them.
We will observe our plants and look at pollination and how bugs support flowers to grow, understanding more about the outside world. P.E continues to be about rounders- practising aiming and hitting a ball with a bat or racquet.
