The End of a GREAT Spring Term ...27 March 2026 (by Abigail Winter (awinter)) |
To all our wonderful Highflyer families
For this, our final week of Term 4, we were incredibly fortunate (during our last session) to even be able to take a quick peek at the British astronaut, Tim Peake, and his journey into space in 2015; given it has been such a lovely topic to study and all the children have really enjoyed learning about the history of flying! However, we feel we simply must thank you all once again for all your beautiful artefacts, generous help with ‘junk modelling' aeroplanes, family photographs and books which you so kindly facilitated – as, genuinely, they made ALL the difference and were hugely appreciated :)
On our return, we shall briefly be using our first week back to simply review and consolidate all phonics learnt from Term 4 - looking again at the sounds we covered and reminding ourselves of the word families used to help us create rhyming phrases; before starting our Term 5 programme.
However, given the past 5 weeks have flown by - and we are once again at the end of another – albeit super short fabulous term; this is additionally just a quick note to send another ENORMOUS “Well Done” to all of our terrific Highflyers – you truly have worked SO incredibly hard and achieved such a great deal :).
I really DID mean what I said I said about you all being a GREAT class during our ‘Reach Up, Reach Out’ celebratory assembly yesterday morning! Just more of the same in Term 5 please ;)
Until then wishing you and your fabulous families, a very happy and restful Easter; before seeing you again very soon!
Best – as always
Mrs Winters (and the 'HF' Team!)
