The Week Ahead - it's going to be a busy one!6 March 2026 (by Sarah Roberts (sroberts)) |
World Book Day was a huge success! The children looked great in their costumes and we had fun finding out which characters they had chosen, inspired by their favourite books.
Next week in History, our focus is on two of the city states – Athens and Sparta. We will find out what made these two important ‘poleis’ develop in such different ways and why they couldn’t get along.
Special events next week
Greek Day with Those History People is on Thursday of next week. I can’t wait to see all those costumes but please remember that they can be easily made following the advice sent home previously.
HYF events – we also have two Henley Youth Festival events booked in for next week.
On Tuesday, we will have a visit from the Globe Players who will present their fascinating introduction to Shakespeare, following the development of his career and including many of his most famous scenes.
On Friday, we will be treated to an African Dance workshop from Wise Moves
Greek Masks - WE NEED YOUR RECYCLING! We have started designing our masks and will be creating them out of recycled materials and papier mache over the coming weeks.
