Week ahead 28.02.26

27 February 2026 (by Alice Fletcher-Single (afletcher-single))

Hi all!
Thank you for coming to see their Yenworthy presentations! We have had a lot of fun looking through the photos over the last few days and they put those powerpoints together in only a few hours, well done year 5 and 6! If anyone could not make the assembly and would like to see your child's presentation, please email me and I will send it :-)
I will repeat what Ms Roberts said in the assembly and say that we are so incredibly proud of them all. They really were a joy during the residential - polite, resilient, fun group.
This week, the class have been so flexible and understanding. We have been working in a different environment while the finishing touches were being made to the new classroom and they have really worked hard! They have done practice SATS too, so you may find your child more tired than usual this weekend!
They have been really adaptive, with brilliant attitudes. You should be proud of them.
Moving in day...
We are so happy with the new Endeavour classroom! It seems so much more spacious  and the class really love it too. Thank you to the wonderful builders and co!
Coming up next week...
We are celebrating World Book Day 2026 on Thursday 5th March. This year, the children will take part in four themed learning sessions across Sports, Geography, History, and Science. Each classroom will offer engaging, book‑inspired activities designed to help pupils discover the joy of reading, which is the central focus of World Book Day this year.
Throughout the day, pupils will:
  • Create group‑written sports stories
  • Explore stories and cultures from around the world
  • Make historical artefacts
  • Design imaginative, science‑based inventions
The activities will be completed in a collaborative way, with children working together in their House teams.
Please find more information on the world book day website: www.worldbookday.com Children are welcome to dress up if they would like to and we encourage you to reuse or exchange costumes.
Their homework this week is to watch the long division videos on SATS bootcamp. No maths homework on Atom for year 6 this week.
Have a wonderful weekend.
