Phonics this week will include the sound: oa

Now we are beginning to look solely at digraphs, we will only have one focus sound a week. We will also be consolidating all the previous sounds we have learned to ensure they are embedded.

Maths this week will be about simple addition and one more and one less.

Our shared reader this week will be: Up the Tree (ee)

EYFS Learning

In EAD: Continuing our painting of clay animals.

In UTW: We look at materials, waterproof and weather resistant.

In Literacy: We will look at the book “Clothes”

Notices this week

Over the past couple of days, we have had a few children in Adventure class vomit at school after complaining of stomach aches. I know that children can often suffer with mystery stomach pain, and of course, usually some water or using the toilet solves this! I would ask however, that over the weekend/Monday, if possible, caution is taken if your child seems unwell. It is clear that something is going around class at the moment and the best stop gap to prevent the spread is keeping your child at home if they are showing signs of a stomach virus.
