What a wonderful week we had last week! Well done to all of the children on performing their Nativity- we could not be more proud of all their bravery, hard work and energy during the show. Much of our week was filled with rehearsals, watching the lower school performance and Christmas events- however, we consolidated our learned phonics sounds, spent time thinking and making patterns in maths, wrote a short piece about 'Excitable Edgar' the dragon and make christmas crafts for one another!

We will also have no new shared readers this week or over Christmas, so pupils are free to enjoy some books at home. We are focusing on consolidating the sounds we already know.

Please can we ensure that class readers as well as reading for pleasure books are returned each week.

What's happening this week?

This week we will once again have a very Christmassy week. FONS present room is on Monday, and Tuesday we will have Christmas dinner, Christmas jumpers, and a class party in the afternoon. We will make Christmas cards and decorations as well as paper chains. There will be lots of time for playing and enjoying our friends company before we break up for the holidays. School finishes at 1.30 on Friday, so please ensure you have made arrangements for this. If anyone different from usual is picking up your child please do let the office know in advance.
