Next week in History we will find out about inventories and how they can help us to make deductions about people in Tudor England. We will be able to interpret the wealth of a Tudor person using an inventory and use evidence to support our interpretations.

In English we are having a poetry week – but with a Tudor focus! We will read and recite poems from the period, looking at the language and the themes that inspired Tudor poets to put quill pen to paper. Children will try their hand at writing a modern-themed poem but in Tudor style.

Homework:

• English Skills – Test 8 – please make sure that children are completing the weekly homework
• Reading – Read pp 78 - 81 of Treason
• Spellings – weekly spellings to learn – we are on week 5.
• Y4 Atom maths – Written Addition and Subtraction
• Y5 Atom maths – Fractions
• Y4 / Y5 Times Tables Practice – online (TT Rockstars and White Rose 1 Minute Maths app are useful) or any other way of practising – games, reciting, having someone test you, writing them out or using double-sided cards.
