In the Reading Planners there are a list of practice words for the children to read and write at home.

Maths

This week we will continue the unit Addition & Subtraction (within 10). This week’s focus is still on subtraction – take away/ cross out (How many left?) subtraction on the number line and add or subtract 1 or 2.  

Science

We will continue with our unit on Seasonal Changes and begin a new unit called Zoology. This includes learning to identify and name a variety of common animals including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals, and describe and compare the structure of them.

There is extra homework (optional) to carry out research into different countries around the world, exploring the similarities and differences in lengths of daylight in summer and winter.
