Our shared reader will be: Mess on the Rug
Please can we ensure that class readers as well as reading for pleasure books are returned each week. Some children are unable to choose new books from the class because we are still awaiting so many to be returned!
What's happening next week?
This week our celebration focus is on weddings! We will be learning about what weddings mean, different cultural weddings such as Indian weddings and those we know well from home. We will make flowers in art to make a bouquet, we will learn about traditional wedding outfits - and children will have fun designing Miss Freeman a wedding outfit for her wedding next year! We will read 'Katie Morag and The Wedding' as well as 'Bindiya in India' to help us with our Literacy.
In maths we continue thinking about 'part, part, whole' and are looking at the composition of the number 3. How can we make 3? Using number blocks 2+1 and 1+1+1.
We will also hand out new Mastering Number home sheets on Thursday- so if you have completed some of the activities please do pop the sheet in your child's bag for Thursday, and we will swap for the new one so you have some different games to play! Thank you all kindly for attending last week, it was truly lovely to see so many of you there, and we know the children had a fantastic time.
