Looking ahead to Autumn Term 2 week 1

24 October 2025 (by Alice Fletcher-Single (afletcher-single))

Endeavour Class News
What a fantastic week we’ve had in Endeavour Class! Our trip to Sulgrave Manor was the perfect introduction to our next topic: “What was life like in Tudor England?”
I was such a proud teacher on Tuesday — the children’s curiosity was wonderful to see. They asked a wide range of insightful questions and remained engaged and enthusiastic throughout the day.
For our early morning work the next day, I asked the class to write a short review of the trip. Many of them wrote, “It was all the best — I can’t choose a favourite part!” which really shows how much they enjoyed it.
Back at school, Endeavour have been authors, artists, and engineers this week! In English, their narrative writing has been creative, thoughtful, and full of imagination.
We also enjoyed a special art morning, where the children had the opportunity to explore new techniques and express their ideas in wonderful ways, a huge thank you to Sarah for this - It was the perfect way to end this half term!
In D&T, we became structural engineers, building bridges out of card — and even spaghetti! We tested the strength of beam, arch, and truss bridges, working collaboratively to see which designs held up best.
Looking ahead to next term...

Please make sure your child can access a copy (audio copy for those who use,  available on Audible)  of our class book 'Treason' by Berlie Doherty, in time for the start of term.  World of books is a great second hand book site, or try Vinted!

It’s been a brilliant term so far — full of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. We can’t wait to see what the next term brings!
Thank you all for your support I wish you all a lovely half-term break.
