This week we will write instructions on how to make a Halloween potion.

Phonic/Reading

This week is consolidation week so we will check the children are secure with the sounds learnt this term (ay, ou, ie, ea and oy) and carry out assessments.

In the Reading Planners there are a list of practice words for the children to read and write at home.

Maths

The current unit is Addition & Subtraction (within 10). This week’s focus is on Fact families and Number Bonds within 10.  

Science

This unit is called Seasonal changes. This includes learning about different types of weather and how to associate types of weather with particular seasons. This unit is revisited across the year which allows us to explore some of the things that happen in each season.
