This week Adventure Class have had lots of fun, especially enjoying their Friday treat in pyjamas! We have watched a film and shared our cuddly toys- rounding up the week in a lovely cosy manner. This week we have looked at sounds ck, e, u, r and read Kim Cat together. We have begun understanding ‘more’ and ‘fewer’ -getting to grips with comparing quantities of objects. We enjoyed reading leaf man and collecting leaves to make our own too!

This week’s sounds are

No new sounds! The last week of term is consolidation and we will be practicing everything we have done this term so far.

The children’s book will be ‘Sam and Ted’ which they will get next week and keep over half term.

What's happening next week? 

Next week we will continue making leaf men and enjoying autumnal stories- we will get to play with pumpkins and get excited about Halloween! Children will get a reading for pleasure book to keep over half term too. Maths will consolidate our learning so far and check understanding before next term (subitising, counting and comparing).

Next Thursday from 9:00am we have our phonics morning where you are invited to come and sit in during a phonics session with your children, see how it is taught, and then gain some hints and tips about supporting them at home- we should be done by 10:00am. It will be great to see as many of you as possible!
