Term 1 Week 115 July 2025 (by Dorothy Wyatt (dwyatt)) |
Start of Term
This week the last of the school year and the last one of Year 2! The year has sped by and we wish everyone a lovely summer holiday before starting as Year 3 in September.
During this week, we are completing our topic on monarchs, having some fun maths activities as well as sorting books, tidying drawers and finishing our lessons for this term.
Spellings - On Monday is the last spelling test and no new spellings will be given.
REMINDER - Please return any school books by Thursday this week. There are still some whole class shared reader books still outstanding, so we would be grateful if you could check at home.
EVENTS this week
Forest School continues on Tuesday and P.E. on Thursday as timetabled. Please note that there is a whole school assembly at 2.30p.m. on Thursday, so the timetable may be disrupted.
WEDNESDAY - Please send in a strong named bag (by Wednesday) for school books to be gathered and sent home. There may be work from year 1 as well.
THURSDAY at 2.30 p.m is Leavers' Assembly - a time to celebrate the past year and say 'farewell' to all our leavers.
FRIDAY at 1.30 p.m. - END OF TERM. Please note the earlier time for the end of day.
And so the year is over and we are wishing you all a lovely summer break and a big THANK YOU for all your support over this last year!
All the best for Year 3!
