History Topic

There were some fantastic reenactments of a Viking saga this week. Children heard two versions of the saga detailing the voyage of Leif Erikson and his discovery of Vinland. Children turned these into their own dramatisations and they were fabulous! Now they are writing their version of the saga.

Next week in history, we’ll be Investigating the impact of Viking invasion on communities in Britain.

SPORTS DAY is on Thursday morning next week. Children will need to wear a T-shirt in their house colours.

Wonderland The Musical

Please keep the costumes coming in. We still need the following:

• Stripy aprons for the cooks
• a length of chain – enough to wrap around  a child
• Year 4 costumes: Y4 are guests at the scene 1 dinner party – they should wear black and white only, please. They will also be animals in the Caucus Race. The transformation could be very simple with just the addition of an animal headband or headpiece.
