Endeavour Class: Term 6, Week3

15 June 2025 (by Kerry Burbedge (kburbedge))

What a wonderful trip we had tho the Earth Trust in Little Wittenham. The children were an absolute credit - they consolidated last term’s learning on rivers, recapped and put to the test, our learning on grid references and had a chance to run down Round Hill too!

Our play, Wonderland the Musical will be performed on Wednesday 9th July and we are beginning to prepare. All children need to learn the songs, there are a number of ways you can do this: through Spotify, if you have an account or you can access YouTube karaoke-style tracks to practise  here.

Costumes and Props We do not want anybody to buy costumes but would like your help in finding costumes and props, even if not for your child. The characters are mostly faithful (but not entirely) to Lewis Carroll’s original classic novel but I think, with a little creativity, we can make most things work! Characters we may need help with are:

  • Queen, King and Knave of Hearts, White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, Mock Turtle, Caterpillar
  • The Caucus Race: Dodo, Mouse, Ladybird, Butterfly, Pig
  • Mad Hatter's Tea Party: Dormouse, March Hare

We are also trying to source items that could be used for our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Thank you in advance for any help you are able to offer.

It’s that time of year when the weather gets quite hot by the afternoon - please ensure that your child has suncre applied before school and brings a hat and water bottle with them each day. The Endeavour classroom can be quite hot so water is essential. Thank you.

Have a lovely week ahead,

Mrs Burbedge
