Highflyer Class Term 6 Week 3

13 June 2025 (by Dorothy Wyatt (dwyatt))

The Bayeux Tapestry 16 June 2025

This week in our topic we are learning about the first Norman King, William the Conqueror and how we know so much about the battle from 1066.   We are looking at historical sources and and observing what we see, so we can understand what happened.   We find out about the Bayeux Tapestry and how it was made and how valuable it is to tell the story of what happened nearly 1000 years ago.  We will also think how our monarch today has different roles compared to King William I and how much power he had back then.
