Earth Trust Geography Field trip – what a great day we had! Please see the gallery of photos to find out what we got up to. This was the perfect way to consolidate understanding of our T5 learning about river courses and how rivers are used. In the afternoon, we climbed to the top of Round Hill (one of the Wittenham Clumps) to put our understanding of grid references into practice.Children used OS maps to work out the locations of various features of the landscape.

The big event this term is the Upper School play – Wonderland the Musical. The performance is scheduled for Wednesday 9^th July, but as I am sure you can imagine the hard work is already underway and we need your help. We have carried out auditions and we started rehearsals last week.

How can you help?

1.Learn the Songs Please help your children to learn the song words – this is Wonderland the Musical and everyone is involved in the singing. All children have their own scripts which include the words and the tracks are available online. You can access YouTube karaoke-style tracks to practise the songs here.

2.Costumes and Props We do not want anybody to buy costumes but would like your help in finding costumes and props. The characters are mostly faithful (but not entirely) to Lewis Carroll’s original classic novel:

• Queen, King and Knave of Hearts, White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, Mock Turtle, Caterpillar
• The Caucus Race: Dodo, Mouse, Ladybird, Butterfly, Pig
• Mad Hatter's Tea Party: Dormouse, March Hare

Perhaps you have an oversized (or regular-sized) plastic tea set, a toy trumpet or toy flamingos and hedgehogs (for the croquet game). If you have anything that might be suitable, please let me know. Thankyou in advance for your help..
