The Week Ahead Term 5 Week 226 April 2025 (by Sarah Roberts (sroberts)) |
First week back
It was an unusual first week back, to say the least! I must congratulate all the children who showed their true, wonderful selves as they were observed and possibly questioned by the HMI who carried out our inspection. She was genuinely very complimentary about them and those interactions helped her to understand the ethos of our school. Thank you, Investigator Class - you played a crucial part in the process and did a great job.
Rivers Topic
The topic launch last week saw us finding out about the features and courses of a river. This geographical knowledge fed into our creative writing as children composed some wonderful river setting descriptions.
Next week, we will find out about the major rivers of the world, naming and locating some of the world’s longest rivers. In English writing, we will create a Rivers of the World fact file.
Hill End
Thanks to those who attended the meeting. I will send home the photography permission form next week to those who did not pick one up at the meeting. If you have not yet returned the Hill End medical form, please follow the link and complete the required information.
