We had a great week back for term 6! The Year 6s took part in the Injury Minimisation & Prevention for Schools programme this week led by NHS staff. The aims of the programme is to reduce death and disability as a result of accidents and teach Year 6 children life saving first aid skills. It was developed by the trauma team at John Radcliffe. The children learnt how to give CPR and other life saving skills.

This week we will be looking at different methods of data collection for geographical enquiries and then selecting the most appropriate for each enquiry. We will be continuing to practise our athletics skills for sports day in whole class PE and year 6 will be building on their map reading skills in orienteering.

In English, we will be trying our hands at story writing using dialogue to move the storyline along. The children love to write stories; we will be refining skills, thinking about the reader experience.

Nettlefest singing!
