Huge congratulations to the Y3/4 Mixed Football team who  played at Langtree this afternoon.  Both the boys' and girls' teams had come 2nd in their respective tournaments previously and both had lost out to Goring.

In the first match today they were up against Goring and started as they meant to go on with two early goals.  The team won their first 3 matches and in the final few seconds lost their fourth against Whitchurch...

KS1 had a fantastic morning of Tag Rugby at the festival.  Thanks to the team at Performance Sport who ran it as part of their PROP programme.  The children have had weekly coaching from Zak at Performance Sport since September and this was a great opportunity to put their skills into practice.  The morning consisted of skills-based activities and small-sided games and was a superb opportunity to show off all they have learned...

Nettlebed runners ran in three events this week - in the rain, in the sunshine and in the cold.

South Oxfordshire Primary Championships

On Tuesday, twenty runners competed in the rain at the South Oxfordshire Primary Championships at Rotherfield FC.  This is the qualifying round for the County Finals and we had high hopes for our teams.  This is a tough course and the wet conditions made it even harder.  Everybody gave their all...

The team were incredible.  They easily won their group by winning the three matches ( 7-0, 4-0 and 2-0).  This meant that we were through to the semi-final which they won 3-0.  They faced Goring in the final which was very exciting.  Both teams played very well; Goring scored first but Nettlebed managed to equalise.  It looked like the result was going to be a draw until Goring scored a late goal to go ahead and win 2-1.  Well...

The Y5/6 Boys came 2nd and the Y5/6 Girls came 3rd in the team events. Well done to all of our fantastic runners and especially well done to Adam and Edward Q who received the Olympic Value me...

It was so wet and windy at last week’s cross country event that the only photo I managed to take was on the coach when we got back to Nettlebed.  Our amazing KS1 did not let the weather dampen their spirits and they all tried really hard.

Well done to everyone you were all amazing!  Extra special congratulations to the following medal winners and near medal winners:

Issy     : 1st in Year 1 Girls

Eloise   : 4th in...

The Y3/4 boys had a great afternoon on the astro at Langtree.  They showed great skill and played with enthusiasm throughout.

The Year 3 team (including Eli from Year 2) lost 3 and won 3 matches and managed to score plenty of goals along the way.  They came 3rd in the B Team competition.

In the A Team tournament, the Year 4 boys didn't concede a single goal and our strikers were definitely on form, winning one match 5-0....

Well done to all the runners who competed last Friday.  It is a tough course at Stoke Row but we managed a respectable 4th overall.  It was a terrific team effort from the Year 5/6 Boys who all put in excellent performances coming 3rd in the team event.  The Y5/6 Girls also all had great races and must have only narrowly missed out on a 3rd place in their team event.  Extra congratulations go to Oscar and Kayla for well-deserv...
