The last week of term was a busy one with two teams involved in sports events and a skipping workshop for the whole school on Friday.
Congratulation to the Y4 athletes who competed in the Woodcote Partnership's Sportshall Athletics event on Tuesday.
The team won a well-deserved third place, proving strongest in the various running events but with some superb individual performances in the field events as detailed below.
Fletcher - 1st in Javelin
Eddie - 2nd in Triple Jump
Bea - 2nd in Speed Bounce and 1st in Chest Push
Jemima was awarded the Special Olympic Value medal for her friendly support for her team.
On Thursday afternoon eight Y5/6 runners took part in the South Oxon Primary Schools Championship at Rotherfield Peppard FC. They all deserve medals for braving the freezing conditions, for putting in some admirable performances and for remaining so
cheerful throughout. Congratulations to Charlotte who won her race and will go through to the County final.
The team: Bayley, Max, Sam G, Daniel, Charlotte, Bronte, Poppy, Sam E
We had great fun on Friday when all children took part in a skipping masterclass. We started with learning basic steps, skipping forwards and backwards, before moving on to more advanced steps such as pretzels and cross-overs. I'll be telling children about the various skipping challenges they can have a go at next term, not least the 100 skips a day challenge.
