Week Ahead In Discovery 21.6.2021
Last week was fantastic and a lot of fun! On Monday, we connected via a live session in the Arctic region. The children had the opportunity to conduct two experiments class, learning all about how the animals in the Arctic region have adapted to survive the harsh weather conditions. The first timed experiment involved how long children could keep their bare hands immersed in icy water. The second timed experiment involved wearing a rubber or blubber glove full of vegetable margarine and then immersed in icy water. The second experiment proved how animals in the Arctic survive and keep themselves warm with the help of blubber/fat.
In the coming week, we will concentrate on Sea Safety. The children will gather information to help them design and create their own sea safety poster. An emphasis on the importance and an introduction to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
Maths: Mass and Capacity
Orienteering on Monday pm (21.6.21)
There is a 70% chance of rain tomorrow afternoon. Your child should wear PE kits + wet weather gear / waterproofs.
Many thanks and I wish you all a good week.
