Week 5 in Unicorn class

Last week we learnt all about bees, the children were incredibly engaged with the learning and loved understanding the life cycle of a bee, how they help flowers grow, how they make honey and using honey for baking! We made some delicious honey cupcakes which they all enjoyed.

This week we are exploring different habitats, looking at the jungle, rainforest, arctic, desert and ocean. We will be learning what it is like in these places and what animals might live there.

At forest school we are following on from our learning of Bees and exploring so real hive inserts, honeycomb and tasting different types of honey.

Please pack a spare change of clothes and socks with your child, socks seem to often get a little wet and muddy in forest at the moment!
