W.C 30th Nov Highflyers

This week the Highflyers will learn about the seasons and the weather in the United Kingdom. They will look at different styles of poetry and use inspiration from the weather to write their own poems.

In maths they will continue learning about money with a focus on making the same amount in different ways, and making comparisons.

Spellings this week will be on adding ‘-ies’ to nouns and verbs ending in ‘-y’.

I have been really impressed with the effort all the children have put into learning their lines for the Christmas poem ‘Let’s Decorate the Christmas Tree’ and song ‘Twelve days of Christmas’. We will continue to practise the performance this week and look forward to sharing it with you soon.
