Unicorn headed under the sea this week
As part of our eco school topic we have been learning all about the ocean! We have looked at maps, thought about what might be in the sea, investigated if objects sink or float in water and discussed why this might be, made some jelly fish using recycled materials and even baked some jellyfish and starfish shape cookies! The children each made their own dough and icing before decorating and enjoying their own cookie, it seems that unicorn class already has some fabulous bakers!
Alongside our watery theme we have had a busy time at forest school; sawing wood and stringing conkers together to make wall hangers and necklaces. Just to make sure all the children were kept extra busy we have been looking at patterns, matching objects and more letters of the alphabet. Phew, we are all ready for the weekend now.
