The Week Ahead in Challenger T4Wk2
We had great fun last week celebrating World Book Day; we enjoyed some live sessions with Julia Donaldson, Nick Sharratt and Axel Scheffler and we loved sharing stories in our class and around the school dressed as our favourite characters on Thursday. There are some photos of the day below.
This week our English lessons centre around stories about boats. As stimuli we will read Neil Griffith's story about a little boat, The Journey and watch the fantastic animation, Little Boat from Nelson Boles.
In phonics, we focus on alternative spellings for the phoneme/oi/ and in the RAPID group the digraph ee.
In maths we continue to look at Place Value in 2 digit numbers.
Don't forget the Logo Lift-Off competition - details are on the home page of the website.
Have a great week!

The 'hard tack' or ship's biscuits went down surprisingly well. We found out that the crew of the HMS Challenger would have 'enjoyed' hard tack as part of their diet.
