In our second-to-last full week at school this term, we were busy with play rehearsals, assessments and wrapping up the Castles topic. Our gallery shows children constructing castles of their choice. They created a motte and bailey castle, castles with stone (lego) walls, and castles from their imagination. I think one group even incorporated Oxford Castle's St George's Tower (the scene of Matilda's dramatic escape after being held by her cousin, Stephen).
Next week in Challenger sees Christmas in full swing with one dress rehearsal and two performances of the lower school play, The Bossy Christmas Fairy. Please ensure that children get plenty of sleep so that they can perform at their best. There will be plenty of Christmas themed learning and Christmas crafts as well.
Have a great week everyone!
