The Highflyers have returned with a positive attitude towards their learning and settled back into the school routines nicely.
This week in literacy the Highflyers will continue to learn about the different physical and human features of countries in the British Isles and write a fact file. They will also learn about cultures and representations of countries and use what they’ve learnt about persuasive writing to create a brochure for a country of their choice.
In maths we are continuing to learn about addition and subtraction using methods of crossing ten and not crossing 10.
Spellings this week will be on the sound ‘l’ spelt with ‘-el’ at the end of words.
This week we will use ICT to find out how games are made. We will also use it to research the geographical features of the British Isles.
I look forward to another exciting week ahead with the wonderful Highflyers!
