Shadows and sunshine
Adventure children have been learning and having lots of fun during a week which was related with our Topic The Great Outdoors. We have been exploring shadows and sunshine with fun activities like puppet shadows, drawing our shadow in the playground and drawing on the window with sunshine's help. As introduction we read a lovely book "My Shadow".
In Phonics this week we have started to learn to blend sounds to turn them into words! Letters to add to our collection are: ck, e, u and r. Also we have learned a decodable HFW (High Frequency word) "and", and non decodables: I, to, the.
In Maths we have been exploring how numbers can be composed of 1s; we began to investigate the composition of 3 and 4 with numberblocks. Also we have been practicing repeating patterns of 3 objects.
Have a lovely weekend!
