Nettlebed's Eco Council

Last term, classes democratically voted for children to become the new class, Eco Councillors.

We have met a couple of times to run an eco audit on our school, to work out the areas we could be working in a more eco-friendly way.

Following our last meeting, some children in the Upper School decided to write a newsletter to keep everyone informed of the Eco Council's very important work.

We will also be talking to the rest of the school about a new campaign which encourages us all to think about Global Warming as today is the Winter/Summer Solstice (wherever you are in the world) and we want everyone to get involved to #ShowYourStripes!

Hundreds of individuals and organisations will share the latest ‘warming stripes’ images created by Professor Ed Hawkins for the globe, or their country, state or city.

We will be doing some further activities around this campaign soon!
