Last Week of the Year

It is the final week of the year and what an unusual term it has been! It will certainly be a summer term to remember for so many reasons; I will certainly remember the amazing ‘Reaching Up’ by children, whether they are working at home or at school and the 'Reaching Out' by our whole community in the way that they have pulled together and looked after one another at this extraordinary time.

Parents too have worked incredibly hard and done an amazing job home schooling. We all need a good rest now – we have all earned it!

Victorians

In this final week our focus will be on the writer, illustrator, natural scientist and conservationist Beatrix Potter. I am looking forward to the children writing and illustrating their own animal stories. I hope they are not too tired to show me their very best writing as it is the final week of this year. You’ll find planning for a range of activities linked to different areas of the curriculum on the class page by clicking on the Victorians button.

Planning for home learning in all subjects is on the class page in the usual way.

Quadkids

Well done to the Year 1s in school. They competed so well that they came 1st in South Oxfordshire. Issy’s performance across all four events meant that she was the top scoring girl out of all those who entered.

I hope to see you all at the final assembly next week.

Until then, have a great week.
