In Investigators This Week..

Welcome back to an exciting week ahead!

This week we have started to explore our new topic of North America. We have discussed the American Civil Rights Movement and explored some of the events surrounding it. We will look at some famous speeches this week followed by some more modern-day speeches from the current US presidential election. We will examine the persuasive language and find examples in the speeches we have listened to.

We will be fully immersed in DT this week -looking at bridge designs and exploring popular features. We will further explore the materials used for different designs and attempt to make our own sturdy bridge.

Just a reminder that, for Year 4, PE is on Wednesdays and Thursdays; Year 5 still have Forest School on Wednesdays with PE on Thursdays.

With the weather turning colder, please be aware that children may need some extra layers, either to wear into school or in their bag in case they're cold. We are following guidance to keep windows open in the classroom to ensure good ventilation so it may get a little chilly.

Have a wonderful week!
