Investigator Class: Term 5, Week 2

We have had a fabulous start to this term this week - we have immersed ourselves in a variety of poetry! The children have written Haiku poems, explored the meaning of The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes and have written their own free verse poems describing emotions we feel by using similes. They did such a great job!

This week, we will begin by working in groups to consider persuasive language we might use in a speech. Specifically, to convince Oxfordshire County County to reduce the driving speed limit in Nettlebed village to 20mph.

We will continue our learning on Commitment in RE and touch on Internet Safety and cyber bullying in PSHE.

Please do make sure that your child has a healthy snack for breaktime, especially if they are having a hot meal as they can be quite hungry during maths.

Don't forget...

Mental Arithmetic homework to be handed in this Wednesday.

English Skills homework to be handed in this Thursday.

Spelling test will also be on Thursday - please do encourage the children to practise their spellings.

Have a great week!
