The week ahead..
Wednesday: Tag Rugby Festival
We are very excited to be going to the tag rugby festival on Wednesday morning. Children must come to school wearing their PE Kits and a warm and waterproof coat. The whole session is outside so they should have hats and gloves as well. Children must also bring their water bottles. We will travel to Henley RFC by coach. Please ensure that you have completed the online permission form sent out from the office last week.
I am delighted to say that we have started to learn the words for our Christmas play ‘A Winter Woodland Tale’. I will send a copy of the songs home with the children on Monday.
This week the Highflyers will learn more about Alexander the Great and write a biography about his accomplishments.
This week is focusing on the /l/ Sound Spelt With ‘-il’ and ‘-al’. We will also be looking at words with the suffix -er & -est.
We will continue to learn about Adding & Subtracting a 2-digit number from a 2-digit number crossing ten.
Art & DT
The children will design and create their own clay pots taking inspiration from Ancient Greek pottery.
I look forward to an exciting week ahead with the wonderful Highflyers!
