Week beginning 13 November 2023
This week there are a lot of exciting things happening in school. First of all, every class are doing 'bearpees' every day, working towards a totaliser of 1000 bearpees per class. Please find the sponsorship form in your child's bag to help with Children in Need on Friday, as well as having lots of exercise!. Please click here to watch different ways to do a bearpee so everyone can get involved. Also, we have an exciting visit on Tuesday of Pudsey and the BBC One team - please see the school email for more information.
We will also be starting to look at tourist brochures and what they contain to producing one for next week.
We continue with our shared reader - The Great Escape. Please click here to see more of the types of questions we look at when we read the text. This helps discussion and a deeper understanding as well as searching for evidence of the answers.
Spellings are given on a Wednesday to be tested the following Wednesday. They have been stuck in your child's planner for last week. They all start with 'kn' and 'gn' - silent letter spellings this week. Please see the link for spellings on the class page.

Reminders - Forest School - Term 2
This week is Group 1's third session at Forest School on Tuesday afternoon. Please remember to bring in a full waterproof kit. Please NAME any clothes used for Forest School. There are several items left from last week but not claimed, outside the classroom on the new coat hooks. Also, now the weather is more likely to be inclement, please provide a larger and suitable bag for them to put wet clothes into afterwards. Your child will need a change of clothes that cover their arms and legs, waterproofs/wellington boots for wet weather, a hat and drink. Old clothes are ideal as they will get muddy and torn in the wild area at school.
If your child is NOT doing Forest School presently, all can wear PE kit.
All Year 2 should wear PE kits to school on a Thursday.
Many thanks and have a lovely week!
