Helicopter visit!

The whole school walked up to the rec today to meet a very special arrival- an RAF Puma helicopter! We could hear it coming with a low distant rumble and it got closer and closer until it finally circled us several times before descending to land. The pilot and crew spent 90 minutes talking to the children all about their role, training and showing them their equipment. The children even got to sit inside the helicopter! Our final treat was to watch it take off and feel the rush of wind as it left Nettlebed!

Such a great morning and a brilliant way to celebrate the service families in our community. Thank you to all who helped make it happen
