Goodbye Challenger
Story time on the last day of the year. There's nothing like reading a favourite story to a Year 1 class - it's one of the many pleasures of this job.

A final word from the Challenger team to the wonderful Year 1s and their parents.
Thankyou children for being a fabulous class. You have worked hard and reaped the rewards and you should be very proud of yourselves for the way you have coped with this unusual year. We have enjoyed having you in Challenger Class and know that you are ready to move on to Year 2. You’ll have a great year next year with Miss Wall and we’ll keep in touch - I am only next door!
Thank you parents for playing your vital part this year. Miss Thorp and I are very grateful for your involvement in your children's learning, also for the kind messages of support throughout this disrupted year and of course for the lovely gifts you have given us.
Summer holidays are upon us and children most definitely do deserve a good rest but I am going to put a few ideas here if they are twiddling their thumbs and would like to keep juggling those key skills balls. Teach Your Monster to Read - phonics practice.
Top marks - phonics games
Topmarks Daily 10 - to practise number facts
Oxford Owl online reading
Handwriting - Practise in your yellow handwriting book with the guidelines (lower case fit between the grey lines) and please find below a printable handwriting booklet below for cursive practice.
Have a wonderful holiday everyone!
