First Day at Hill End

The children have been brilliant on this first day and they have certainly kept busy. They got settled in their tents and then had lunch. After a bit of free time we completed the Challenge Trail which apart from anything else provided some welcome shade. The children had to work as a team, communicate effectively and most importantly support each other. Later they completed the Orienteering course which allowed children to explore the wider site.

Tea was a delicious BBQ, all ready for us after the afternoon’s fun. In the evening Melinda ran the fire lighting session for us and children toasted marshmallows.

What a brilliant first day! Let’s hope they sleep like logs.
