Final week of term 3 in Unicorn class

This week we have been learning all about pirates. We have practiced counting pirates into their boats, digging to find their hidden treasure, painting pirate faces, practicing our cutting and sticking of shapes and finally making eye patches, it certainly has been a busy week!

The children have loved doing lots of PE this week, they are getting so strong and balanced when running and skipping, we have also been practicing rolling balls and throwing bean bags into a target. I am so impressed by the determination all of the children have shown when learning these new skills. They all listen fabulously and confidently practice our rolling, throwing and balancing activities.

In between the frosty mornings we have had glorious sunshine and have been able to enjoy this weather continuing our PE practice outdoors.

The children have shown incredibly enthusiasm and determination in their learning this term and have definitely earned a week off!

I look forward to seeing everyone after half term, in term 4 week 1 we will be looking at transport. We will be exploring cars, road safety, making maps and using a range of physical skills to tackle an obstacle course.
