Endeavour Class - Term 6 - Week 1

Dear Parents

This week is the Bikeability training for Year 5 and Year 6. Training starts for Year 5s on Monday and Tuesday. Year 6 will be Wednesday and Thursday. For Year 6 parents, further details will be emailed separately when all details are confirmed.

If you have stated that you would provide your own bike and helmet, please make sure they are in school and parked in the bike rack at the school gate entrance in the mornings. Bikes can be left in school overnight if you wish.

Comfortable clothing is sensible so wearing P.E kit unform would be ideal for everyday whilst training. Otherwise, normal school uniform should be worn. Sensible strapped/laceup shoes or trainers should be worn, no slip-on shoes will be allowed for safety reasons. Please make sure your child has a light waterproof coat in case of showers. If it is sunny, please apply suncream before the school day and a full drinks bottle.

In maths we will have a variety of investigations and problems to solve during the week.

In English, we will be working on our drama production, A Midsummer's Night Dream. Please ensure your child brings their script every day if they are not on the Cycling Training.

There is English Skills homework to hand in and mark on the Wednesday morning and Maths homework and a spelling test on Thursday. For Year 6, you may have your spelling test earlier this week on the Tuesday (as mentioned in class before) as you have Cycling Training on the Thursday.

P.E. days are Tuesday and Wednesday this term. Year 5 have Forest School on Wednesday.

Kind regards,

Mrs Wyatt
