Endeavour Class - Term 5 - Week 2

Dear Parents

We had a good start with our topic last week and realised actually how long ago the Stone Age took place. We will continue looking at this and studying the evidence found to help us understand what the environment and circumstances would have been like in those days. Our English will also help with this. The fictional story of Wolf Brother will give us plenty of opportunities to think further about the landscape and challenges of living in those days.

In maths we are continuing studying statistics. We have learnt how to draw line graphs last week and now we are practising how to solve problems by using the information displayed.

There is English Skills homework to hand in and mark on the Wednesday morning and Maths homework and a spelling test on Thursday. If you need a copy, here are the spellings below. Spellings were handed out last week on Thursday.

Also remember that P.E. days are Tuesday and Wednesday this term. Year 5 have Forest School on Wednesday.

Also this week are school photographs on Wednesday. Please have your child come to school in school uniform and bring in their P.E. kit to change into if they have P.E. in school on that day.

On Friday we are walking a mile. Please ensure appropriate shoes are brought into school on Friday. Please see the school office email for further information.

Kind regards,

Mrs Wyatt
