Endeavour Class: Term 2, Week 6

Last week the children worked incredibly hard on their newspaper reports, reporting the famous Battle of Edington. They then learned to use Microsoft Publisher to produce some fabulously realistic newspaper front pages. We learned about watercolour blending techniques before committing to card to begin our Christmas cards!

This week, Christmas is in full swing - we have crafts to make an poems to write! We have a Christmas poetry morning on Friday where the Y6 children will be working with their houses to learn some poems. We will also learning about the faith of Christianity as part of our RE unit.

We will be doing some end of term assessments in maths before trying our hand at some Christmas codebreakers.

The class earned two class treat a few weeks ago; one of which was used to watch England play one afternoon. The children have chosen to use their second one on Thursday when they are allowed to wear home clothes and we will have an afternoon of building forts and using the laptops. We don't have PE on Thursday so the children can choose what they wear for the day.

On Friday we will have our 'star of the term' assembly at the Cheese Shed; I look forward to seeing you there for some Christmas carols too.

I hope you all have a great week.
