Endeavour Class: Term 2, Week 3

We have had a great week exploring and discussing the legend of Beowulf. The children wrote some rather gruesome character descriptions of the monster, Grendel!

This week we will be writing our own legend, linked to King Alfred. The children will be asked to base their legend on a true fact about King Alfred as well as including descriptions of characters and the setting.

The majority of this week's learning will take place around the Bikeability sessions for Y5 and Y6. Please do check emails for specific instructions about bikes coming into school. All Y5/6 children need to bring their bikes in tomorrow morning and take them to the Endeavour garden for storage. Children can come into school in home (active) clothes for Monday and the day they are doing Level 2 of the Bikeability scheme. Please do call the office or email me directly should you need any help. Fingers crossed for some good weather!

There were lots of children without homework last week, could I please ask for your help to encourage the children to complete and hand in their homework books on time. I have spoke to them directly to explain my expectation.

There is some optional extra homework on Atom Learning - particularly some revision for Y6 children following our block of math learning on 'Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication & Division'.
